About

Rosie is an illustrator, artist and writer living in Norfolk, UK.

She studied Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Her first picturebook It isn’t Rude to be Nude (Tate) was named a Guardian/Observer best children’s book of 2020, came highly-commended in the World Illustration Awards, and short-listed for the Little Rebels Award.

Her subsequent books Hooves or Hands and The Stone Age - A Ladybird Book, are out now, and We Are Human Animals has been published in Italy and Spain, and will soon be out in North America, China, France and Germany.

Before her illustration career she studied English literature at Goldsmiths, and then an MA in Globalisation, Ethnicity and Culture at Sussex University. She previously worked as a writer, producer and project manager making websites, videos and radio.

When not working on books she makes and sells ceramics and lithographic paper and textile pieces.
