About

Rosie is an artist and writer living in Norfolk, UK.

Working in ceramics, print and textiles, she is inspired by the natural world, the ancient and archaic, and her love of the human form (particularly men).

She studied Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, and her books have been translated into eight languages. Her first book, It isn’t Rude to be Nude (Tate) was named a Guardian/Observer best children’s book of 2020, came highly-commended in the World Illustration Awards, and short-listed for the Little Rebels Award. Her subsequent books Hooves or Hands and The Stone Age - A Ladybird Book, and We Are Human Animals are out now.

Before becoming an artist she studied English literature at Goldsmiths, and then an MA in Globalisation, Ethnicity and Culture at Sussex University.
